POLICE IN ISIOLO OPEN INVESTIGATIONS ON THE DISAPPEARANCE OF COUNTY OFFICIAL

Police in Isiolo have open investigations on the disappearance of Mr. Ali Waqo, an officer of the county government of Isiolo who is the director of revenue.
According to Christopher Siele, Isiolo Deputy County Commissioner Ali Waqo was reported missing two days ago and is suspected to have been abducted by unknown people.
Siele said that the phone of the missing director will be used to facilitate investigations.
The family of Waqo and some residents today walked to the DCCs office to push the government to initiate and speed up investigations on the matter.
Felusa Ali Godana the daughter said that the family has forwarded a list of names to the security agencies who she alleged are suspected to have been having work related conflicts with her father.
Mohamed Godana, a brother to Ali Waqo, alleged that co- workers of Mr. Waqo in the revenue department of the county government of Isiolo were plotting the disappearance.
A wave of anxiety and outrage is slowly gripping the Isiolo community following recent abductions, two under disturbing and unclear circumstances.
On Friday, May 9th, Mr. Abdullahi Bosso was reportedly taken by individuals believed to be security officers along the Kinna–Kulamawe Road.
The family of Mr. Ali Godana called for the government to intervene on the matter and provide the whereabouts of the two.
The demand by the family also calls for immediate action from the Ministry of Interior, the Inspector General of Police, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), and the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR).
It calls for thorough investigations, public accountability, and either the immediate release or legal arraignment of the two abducted men.
The families of both Mr. Bosso and Mr. Godana are said to be devastated, with no official communication on the whereabouts or status of their loved ones. Civil society organizations, oversight bodies, and the broader public are being urged to speak out and demand justice.
