Teenage Student Arrested for Allegedly Killing Pregnant Girlfriend

A 19-year-old high school student is in police custody for allegedly murdering his 16-year-old girlfriend, a fellow student, in a tragic case believed to be linked to an unwanted pregnancy.

According to reports, the suspect arrived at the victim’s home around 4:30 AM, where she had been sleeping in the kitchen, and took her away. Hours later, her lifeless body was discovered by the roadside, just a few meters from her home and near the suspect’s school. Authorities say she had deep machete wounds to her head and neck.

The victim’s family believes the gruesome murder was fueled by tensions over her four-month pregnancy. The suspect had allegedly been pressuring her to terminate it, fearing legal action from her parents, who had vowed to have him prosecuted for impregnating their daughter. When she refused to comply, the suspect is believed to have attacked and killed her before returning to school as if nothing had happened.

Navakholo OCPD Christopher Kirui and Namirama Deputy Chief Steve Nawade have confirmed the incident. Police are holding the suspect as investigations continue, with plans to arraign him in court soon.

This shocking case has sparked outrage in the community, with calls for justice for the young girl whose life was brutally cut short
